Yes. Provision Physical Therapy is open and treating new and existing patients. In response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Tennessee, Provision is taking preventative measures to protect the health and safety of our patients, employees and visitors.

In response to the presence of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Tennessee, Provision will comply with the most up-to-date policies and recommendations from the Tennessee Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Our clinic is taking preventative measures to protect the health of our patients, employees and visitors.

  • All patients are screened upon arrival for symptoms associated with COVID-19 and, depending on the outcome of the screening, may be asked to postpone their appointment until they have been tested for the virus
  • Appointment times are staggered to keep group contact to a minimum per CDC guidelines
  • All surfaces are cleaned multiple times per day (gym area/equipment, bathrooms, door handles, light switches, counter tops, patient waiting areas, etc)
  • All employees are screened daily for symptoms associated with COVID-19 to determine whether they may continue to provide care to our patients
  • Providing hand sanitizer and hand washing stations to all patients at check-in and check-out
  • Providing multiple patient waiting areas
  • Removing unnecessary items such as magazines and coffee stations
  • Limiting visitors to emergency only (i.e. transportation and gait assistance needs). No children allowed.

Physical Therapy is deemed an essential service. We intend to continue providing care to all of our patients. We will continue to comply with CDC guidelines and follow additional preventative measures in an attempt to reduce the risk of exposure to our patients and employees. However, we are sensitive to any preference and/or situation and we understand that it may not be essential or necessary for everyone to attend. Please feel free to contact your Physical Therapist directly to discuss any questions or concerns regarding your plan of care.

Coronavirus symptoms can include fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and excessive runny nose. These symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. Any patient experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19 will be asked to postpone their appointment until they have been tested for the virus.

We realize that some patients may be dealing with a diagnosis such as cancer. Here is a resource from Provision CARES Proton Therapy to help navigate that decision.

In Tennessee, you do not need a referral or prescription to see a physical therapist for up to 6 visits. However, having a referral can be helpful with insurance reimbursement of the services provided. We will be happy to expedite your first few visits without a referral, but may ask you to seek a prescription from a physician after the first few visits. We can make a recommendation for a physician if needed.
