Wes Franks
Wes Franks has devoted his professional life to helping patients get back to lives they love.
With more than two decades of experience as a physical therapist, Wes has worked with countless numbers of patients recovering from injuries and find relief from chronic pain. He holds two degrees from the University of Tennessee (a BS in biology and an MS in biomechanics and sports medicine) along with a master of physical therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. While at St. Augustine, he received his certification in manual therapy (MTC), and he earned his DPT from the University of Montana.
Wes is board certified in orthopedic physical therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, and has contributed as a writer to the Orthopedic Specialty Examination. Wes is an expert in upper extremity neurovascular diagnosis and treatment and developed an orthotic and biomechanics program. He studied neuromotor training through FC Barcelona Universitas for sport development and training, and regularly coaches and trains young athletes.
Wes enjoys traveling with his family, mountain biking, hiking, mountaineering, soccer, judo, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. His favorite superhero is Hong Kong Phooey, and his favorite movie is Office Space.
Mary Kathleen Kearse
Kathy Kearse has dedicated more than three decades of her life to practicing physical therapy. However, the specialty she brings to Provision Physical Therapy is the care she can provide as a nationally certified lymphedema therapist.
Since 2000, Kathy has worked primarily with cancer patients, teaching them healthy habits to reduce and minimize the risk of developing lymphedema swelling and addressing other complications associated with a cancer diagnosis. These can include issues around range of motion, strength limitations, pain, and functional mobility deficits like axillary web syndrome, lymphatic cording, and scar tissue.
Kathy is the primary author of Lymphedema Caregivers Guide: Arranging and Providing Home Care, and has given numerous presentations at local, regional, and national conferences.
Dean Douglass
Dean Douglass believes in putting the needs of patients first.
That’s the core value he’s brought to providing the physical therapy needs to the Knoxville community for more than 20 years. A graduate of Samford University, he continued his education in Northern Ireland where he received a BSc with honors in physiotherapy from the University of Ulster at Jordanstown. After returning to the United States, he earned a degree with the Ola Grimsby Institute in 2005 with a focus on orthopedic manual therapy.
Dean’s specialties include the treatment of spinal dysfunctions, various orthopedic ailments, and general conditioning.
Gonhiang Yang
Growing up, Gonhiang has always had a passion to help people. Her passion to help and care for others lead her to pursue her career in the healthcare field.
Gonhiang joined Provision Physical Therapy in February of 2022. Prior to that, Gonhiang was with Parkwest Medical Center for the past few years. With over a decade of working in specialty clinics and hospital settings, she has had years of experience with insurance verifications, managing clinic workflow, and assisting staff members and patients for an easy and smooth patient experience. Alongside with Stephanie, she manages the front desk, assists patients and therapists as needed, handles insurance verifications and authorizations.
Gonhiang earned her Bachelor of Healthcare Administration from the University of Concordia in St. Paul, MN.
During her free time, she loves to spend time with her family of six, play volleyball, and cook up a storm with her loved ones.
Stephanie Moyers
With a desire to help people, Clinic Receptionist and Physical Therapy Tech Stephanie Moyers loves working with patients.
Whether it's assisting with schedules or exercises, Stephanie is entrusted to assist each patient with the utmost care. Her ability to empathize and listen to the needs of each patient adds a genuine touch to the patient experience. In addition to assisting patients and therapists, Stephanie is responsible for maintaining the front desk, clinic organization, and patient coordination.
She holds a BA in Communication/Advertising from Western Kentucky University and is a certified yoga instructor through AAAI. Before coming to Provision Physical Therapy, she spent her career in advertising, marketing, and public relations, as well as, 13 years as a fitness instructor.
Alecia Allen
Alecia has been catering to the rehabilitation needs of the local community for almost three decades. She also provides a specialized service for Provision Physical Therapy patients.
After attending the University of Tennessee for pre-PT, Alecia went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in physical therapy from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She went on to complete a certification in dance medicine and now provides for the unique care of dancers across the region.
Her other specialties include treatment of hip pain and lumbosacral dysfunction. She is certified in dry needling and incorporates matwork and Reformer Pilates into treatment protocols.
Alecia has two adult children, Ty and Tatum, and enjoys traveling. She has an English bulldog named Petey and enjoys playing pickle ball, boating, and biking.
